Considerations Regarding Financial Incentives for Organ Donations
More than eighty thousand people in the U.S. suffer on the wait list for organ donations. Six thousand people die on the wait list every year. Currently is it illegal to offer financial incentives for people to be organ donors. Research has indicated that financial incentives might increase the number of organs available for donation thus eliminating the wait list and black markets. Numerous controversies are considered.
